Sweeping pastures and bucolic landscapes give the city of Milton an undeniably rural character, appealing to those hoping to escape the busyness of urban living. The town serves as a perfect oasis for commuters to Atlanta, and despite its pastoral feel sits just 40 minutes north of the city’s dynamic energy. Though Milton wasn’t officially incorporated until 2006, the area carries a long and colorful history that’s exemplified in its historic Crabapple district.

Buyers in search of a smaller abode won’t have to sacrifice an ounce of luxury, as the town is also loaded with upscale townhomes and single-family houses.
